Cockhouse
From the underground clubs of Stockholm across Europe and out into the world: Cockhouse are a young collective of music nerds, wacky and committed in equal measure, with the self-appointed mission of providing the crisis generation with soundtracks for the downfall of the West. They pull references from the early 90s’ subversive drum-and-bass culture, as well as from the convention-burning brutality of Death Grips and the twangy grooves of funk-rock revolutionaries Primus. As eccentric as a pillow fight in a transvestite circus, Cockhouse do their thing with the creative fervour of young artists, ripping up every club, every bar, every flat-sharing party. If you want to see what contemporary live performances can look like, you’ve got a date in Hamburg in September.
