Zimmer90
The sound of Zimmer90 flows out of the speakers as flavourful and warm as a black coffee on a relaxed Sunday morning. The duo from Stuttgart celebrate electronically accentuated indie pop with English lyrics that get under your skin with their honesty. When they write songs, they do so intuitively. In other words, sound sketches are collected and formulated into loose jams. And you can hear it in every note of singles such as “Summer Rain” and “What Love Is” – restrained synths, a few loose bass lines, and dreamy vocals echoing through stylistically confident sound spaces. Zimmer90 is not just a project name, but also a conceptual idea supported by the experience of an open and evolving idea of music. On their EPs “Fall Back” and “Spaces” (2023), the group have already created their first monuments to this idea. This year, they are also coming to St. Pauli with new material. It’s a collaborative project that the band consistently let their fans participate in.
