W!ZARD
Noise and roar suitable for stadiums? Without wanting to be too catchy, the sound of W!ZARD could be described in something like this. While the three Frenchmen's first album was still dedicated to a certain prog rock style and mathcore approach, they moved more towards noise rock and post-hardcore on the 2021 EP "Definitely Unfinished" - but with this sound design for the really big venues. They are now not only able to fill them, but also burn them down even in wintry temperatures. Influences from the Sisters Of Mercy to Idles, from Joy Division to Skullflower collide here and are welded together with sawblade-sharp melodies to create an overall sound that makes you break out in a cold sweat. With this year's "Not Good Enough", they present a collection of boards that would overwhelm any DIY store.
