With virtuosity and stylistic confidence, Timechild tap into the virtues of unforgotten hard rock heroes to create their very own interpretation of powerful and dramaturgically expansive prog. The Copenhagen quartet succeed in looking back to the seventies but still sounding highly modern and independent thanks to the brilliant production by compatriot Soren Andersen. With their debut album, “And Yet It Moves” (2021), Timechild laid the foundations for songwriting that can be expanded in many different directions – which is exactly what the four full-blooded musicians have been doing with unbridled creativity for a few years now. Musically, nothing is left to chance: Everything meshes like the parts of a well-oiled engine and sounds flawlessly balanced without ever losing any energy in the highly dynamic sound. This balancing act was honed to perfection on their second album, “Blossom & Plague” (2023), and has helped the band achieve fame in the high-class Scandinavian metal scene. Now, they are coming to Hamburg for the first time and will be bringing both old and fresh material to the stage.
