With her two Eps, “Rêvalité” (2021) and “metaREverse” (2023), the multi-talented French artist has already made waves in the Grande Nation and emancipated herself from the expectations of the industry. Incorporating elements of electro as well as hyperpop and rap, neo-soul and downtempo chansons, her signature is hard to grasp and yet absolutely gripping. It should be clear that she has pursued a rather atypical career as a musician, model, stylist, and passionate speaker. However, the extent to which her various passions and talents inspire the spirit of her music may not be immediately obvious. On her debut album, “L’attente”, released earlier this year, this can be heard in every single song: Free from convention, Thérèse mixes moods and genres into a sweet and sour cocktail that combines irony and wisdom, the tender and the hard, the danceable and the thoughtful, all without sounding confused.
