skuth
The deal was simple: his father would give him a new mp3 player, but in return, he would be allowed to play half of the 512MB memory with music of his own choice. Ten-year-old Skuth agreed and from then on listened to Joe Jackson, Queen and The Police as well as 50 Cent and The Game, which would determine his future career as an artist. He was so taken with instrumental music that in the following years he became just as interested in producing as he was in his piano. The inevitable happened: he abandoned his maths studies in favour of a scholarship at the renowned Herman Brood Academie in Amsterdam, where Skuth graduated top of his class in 2022. Since then, he has been making a name for himself as a songwriter and producer, but also with his tracks. Stylistically well thought-out numbers such as "Ändert nichts" and "Dummheit" already show where the young talent is heading: German rap and bedroom pop, clever lyrics and sophisticated modulation tricks from the home studio. DIY stylistics by every trick in the book.
