The Shivas are living the dream of many young people since 2006: travelling the country with their own band, making people dance and revel, making music until they drop. For almost two decades now, art and play have been at the centre of the Portland quartet's everyday existence - and it shows. On albums such as "Better Off Dead" (2016) and "Dark Thoughts" (2019), they have mastered the almost erotic mixture of psychedelic rock and jangle pop, surf vibes and daydreams. Only topped by their live performances, the interaction of these multi-instrumentalists is a real listening pleasure time and time again. This was also impressively evident on their latest album "Alive In The World" (2023). It was recorded in ten different cities, where The Shivas have completely sold out venues. Their gig here in September may be similar. Don't oversleep.
