Musgö
It seems somewhat surreal when Musgö takes to the stage alongside her band with a harp. Since her debut album ‘Open The Gate’ in 2019, the distinctive songwriter and singer from Andalusia has honed an unrivalled style that's hard to pigeonhole in terms of genre. On the one hand there are ethereal yet silky grooving downtempo beats. The at times crystal-clear, other times lascivious delivery by the Spanish singer makes songs like ‘Fuego’ a sensual listening experience with memorable appeal. And then, of course, there's the harp, its elegant playing breathing through Musgo's music like a summer breeze in a wide open plain. In this era of ever-increasing pressure to improve, not many contemporary artists are brave enough to experiment in this way and create seductively graceful pop songs. On her second album ‘Un sendero’ (2023), Musgö has refined this art so brilliantly that she is now totally unrivalled. Live on stage, this sound is nothing less than pure magic.
