From street music to a major deal: Celina and Luca Bó have achieved what usually only takes place in films. As Lina Bó, the duo celebrate an elegant and eclectic mix of Mediterranean pop, gypsy jazz, salsa, and folk with a free-spirited lust for life. Authentic and outspoken, the two urban neo–flower children make music tangible, combining socially critical echoes with positive energy in their lyrical accompaniment. That’s no easy balancing act, especially in these times. But this light and airy approach has grown naturally. While studying music, the two jammed out together before they even exchanged a word and realised that their chemistry and vibe were an instant fit. With the contemporary feminist anthem “Weiblich” and the nostalgic ballad “Mosaik aus guten Tagen”, the two presented the first gems of their interpretation of retro pop last year and have now topped it all with their debut EP, “Lina Bó” (2024). One thing is clear: Here comes the next big thing in German-language music.
