Later.
With the summer not quite here yet, there’s no need to let rainy days get you down: Later. have the perfect antidote. With their idiosyncratic sound, they recreate relaxed afternoons by the lake under the buzzing shadows of shining green trees. The quartet from Paris first came into the public eye four years ago when astronaut Thomas Pesquet played their single “Highway 10” from the International Space Station (ISS). Since then, the band have really been flying high: Their EP, “The Daydream” (2020), was a hit with the French press and highlighted the band’s familiar interplay and stylistic level. Last year, their debut album, “Walking On The Line” (2023), was released, prompting more than a few media personalities to draw comparisons with Daft Punk. Sounds crazy? It’s not! This year’s new single, “Cold Touch”, also realises a synth-driven funk sound with more than just a French touch. Anyone who wants to get their own impression of the qualities of these four thoroughbred musicians will have the opportunity in September.
