Humane The Moon
We can sleep when we're dead. And since this is the case, Max Hanley sees no need for tentative self-discovery trips. As an artist, he knows precisely what he wants: thumpingly produced electro-punk with cocky swagger and highly infectious danceability that forces every club into sauna mode. With the debut EP "Mythomania" and four instantly kickin' singles, the London musician has staked out a broad territory in which he can go all out stylistically. Whilst recalling Ian Curtis ("Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio") and Slowthai, as well as Big Image or NOISY, Hanley creates his very own brand of ultra-contemporary punk music under his alias Humane The Moon. The healthy no-fucks-given attitude is also evident in the video for "Dugout", where braving it out rather than dishing it out is classed as a strength. Anyhow, this guy doesn't need to put any pressure on himself - he's already on top of things.
