Hayki
Ragip Aytug Tunal has made a name for himself as a rapper with grit over the last two decades, particularly in Istanbul’s completely underrated hip-hop scene. Releases of the calibre of “High Kick Low Punch” (2009) and “Kötü Adam (Ajna)” (2020) have made the artist – who is also an entrepreneur – an authority in his home city but have also had an influence on the Turkish diaspora in Germany. Finally, it was tracks such as “Katil” (2017) and “Coban Yildizi” with Hayko Cepkin (2018) that brought him massive fame in the German-speaking rap business thanks to tens of millions of streams on the relevant platforms. Since then, the name Hayki has come to be recognised by anyone who takes a serious look at Turkish rap music. The fact that he has also had a considerable influence on names such as Killa Hakan, Uzi, and Eko Fresh is no mere coincidence. And now, he will be coming to Hamburg for the first time with fresh beats and bars.
