GARDENS songs tell stories of failure, growing up and being in-between. Sometimes raw and garage-heavy, sometimes shimmering and folky. What began as a chance acquaintance between flute lessons and party kitchens is now a band that moves between Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin and the spirit of old rock records and finds a home between Californian hippies and the corridor of a shared flat in Vienna. With their debut single ‘Waves’, GARDENS landed directly in the Austrian FM4 charts - the first proof that honest music finds its way.
