Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains

Indie
FR

With its subtle pop, Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains was the first French artist to sign to the legendary British label Domino. Whether influenced by Dominique A, the Talking Heads or the French Nouvelle Scène, the music of Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains thrives on constant change. The common thread? His unmistakable voice, which runs through almost a dozen albums like a gentle shimmer in the sunlight.
Between the Atlantic coast and the clubs of Bristol, Frànçois has created a sound that is as fluid as his biography: sometimes playful, sometimes melancholic, often danceable - but never arbitrary. His songs interweave chanson with indie pop, global rhythms with subtle electronics and, time and again, small, wild melodies that resonate.
