Breaking away from conventional formats and integrating the physicality of sounds into their music - this is the creative credo of cellist Anne Keckeis and oboist Hannah Baumann. With classical instrumentation but a completely non-classical approach, the duo experiments and improvises contemporary sounds between yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Based on Schiller's ‘Ode to Joy’, set to music in Beethoven's Ninth, the two musicians initiate a dialogue between the generations under the project name Das Millionen Feature and ask themselves and the audience live at the Reeperbahn Festival some of the most pressing questions of our time: What is plurality and how can it not only be set to music but also shaped interactively? What do we mean by empathy - and where is it lacking? A concert experience of a special kind becomes a search for the voices of young people, a departure into social dialogue with one another. A new interface between art and performance formats is created here, which aims to pave the way to a different, better future with experiences from the past.
