Brosie is passionate about writing songs about the consequences of the trivial, which we are all becoming more and more aware of. With a sound that lies somewhere between indie and electro-pop, between delicious chocolate chip cookies and the next quarter-life crisis, the lively singer–songwriter creates a sound that deliberately refuses to be categorised. As diverse as Brosie’s artistic creations are, her website alone is a small kind of exhibition, and singles such as “Coulda Shoulda Woulda Enthusiast”, “Picture Perfect Standard”, and “Green Park” are just as unpredictable. All released in the course of this year, and all with the potential to become genuine underground gems, Brosie’s songs to date are evidence of a musical talent that has been lacking in recent years, at least in this country. Needless to say, her debut EP, “Waiting To Be Discovered” (2024), unabashedly proclaims what A&Rs in Germany have hopefully long since realised: Equipped with the best of Avril Lavigne and Hannah Montana but also with an eye on Holly Humberstone and Olivia Rodrigo, this lady opens up her very own creative cosmos and sends out invitations to everything and everyone.
