Reeperbahn Festival 2026 – Forever Legit?

With our programme, talks, and conference activities, we aim — under the motto “Forever Legit” — to understand and critically examine the music industry and its transformation in a holistic way. We want to listen to young voices, create open spaces, and enable genuine participation. Is everything we are doing still legitimate — also for future generations?

Next-Gen-Programme

In recent years, the Festival Village has offered young professionals, young people interested in starting a career in the music industry, and career changers a playing field to find their way into the music profession through talks, workshops, interactive activities and gaming.

Policy Dialogues

In 2024, the Reeperbahn Festival Conference hosted Policy Dialogues – sessions that explored and discussed issues and contexts at the intersection of national and European cultural policy.  The aim was to bring together players from both spheres and encourage dialogue.

Our programme partnerships

Working with strong partners, the Reeperbahn Festival Conference is broadening its thematic horizons. Our programme partnerships add new perspectives, in-depth discussions and fresh communities to the Conference – making it a space for exchange that goes beyond music. Discover some of our partners here.

VUT - VUT Indie House

The Association of Independent Music Entrepreneurs (Verband unabhängiger Musikunternehmer*innen e.V.) is committed to ensuring that the cultural diversity, to which independent music entrepreneurs make a major contribution, is more widely recognised and appreciated. With the “VUT Indie House”, we are implementing a jointly curated programme of sessions and receptions as part of the Reeperbahn Festival Conference.

BVMI – Bundesverband Musikindustrie

The Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) represents the interests of around 150 record producers and music companies, which account for a good 80 percent of the German music market. The BVMI will be represented at the Conference with its own sessions on relevant industry topics.

BDKV – Bundesverband der Konzert- und Veranstaltungswirtschaft

The Bundesverband der Konzert- und Veranstaltungswirtschaft shapes and optimises the economic, political and legal framework for concert, festival and tour organisers, guest performance agencies, artist management companies and event agencies in the pop and classical music sectors. At the Conference, the BDKV is holding various sessions and, with its ‘Future Talents Day’, will host a programme designed to support young talent in the music industry.

We are part of the Keychange Initiative

Our initiative for diversity and gender equality in the music industry.

The Reeperbahn Festival is part of the Keychange Initiative – a global alliance committed to equality and diversity in the music industry. By participating, we commit to supporting at least 50% of the performing artists and speakers within our program who belong to an underrepresented gender. In doing so, we actively contribute to creating equal opportunities and strengthening diversity on stages, panels, and within the industry.
